How to grow indoors
Temperature conditions
Farfugium is kept at a temperature of 16 - 20 ° C in spring and summer. With the onset of summer heat, it is worth increasing the frequency of watering and air humidity, otherwise its leaves will droop. In winter it is worth providing a cool rest period. At subzero temperatures, the entire above-ground part of the plants dies.
Lighting
Grows well in partial shade and does not tolerate direct sunlight.
Care
In spring, you can place the farfugium outside under protection from strong winds.
Substrate
Organic-rich soil with leaf humus, peat and added sand to improve drainage.
Feeding
During the period of active growth, feed with liquid fertilizers 2 times a month.
Purpose
A beautiful decorative foliage plant that is suitable for landscaping shady corners.
Flowering time
Summer.
Air humidity
High. Place the pot on a tray of wet pebbles or use a humidifier if the indoor humidity drops below 50%.
Soil moisture
Water evenly to keep the soil moist in spring and summer. In autumn, reduce the frequency of watering and in winter simply protect the earthen ball from drying out.
Transfer
Every year, in the spring.
Reproduction
Easily propagated by cuttings of rhizomes.
