Home care

Temperature conditions

In the warm season, normal room temperature is suitable; in winter, when the plant is resting, it should be placed in a cool room where the temperature is 12 - 14 ° C.

Lighting

A well-lit place without access to direct sun, tolerates partial shade.

Care

In early spring, this species requires radical pruning to give the flower a neat shape and the desired size. It is best to take the bush out into the fresh air during the warm season. Remove old faded buds. Provide support for the distictis.

Substrate

Loose and well-drained soil with sufficient nutrients.

Feeding

During the growing season - in spring and summer - feed 2 times a month.

Distictis

Purpose

A large decorative flowering vine that needs to be given enough space.

Flowering time

Late spring - summer, long flowering period.

Air humidity

It is advisable to carry out periodic spraying in spring and summer, but it is worth remembering that this plant needs sufficient air movement.

Soil moisture

Young specimens require regular watering, but this requirement decreases with age, and mature vines should be watered sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings, and reduce watering in winter.

Transfer

As needed, in early spring. Young seedlings are replanted annually, as they develop quickly, adults are replanted once every 2-3 years.

Reproduction

Propagated by cuttings in summer.
